VOCAL AUDITION
Auditioners are required to prepare a song.
Auditioners may sing a song of their choice, but the directors have a strong preference that the song be 1) from a musical,
and 2) not performed a-capella/self-accompanied (so the audition is as close as possible to what the performer will
actually be expected to do on stage)
We will have the ability to play recorded accompaniment through a CD player, MP3 player, Bluetooth speaker, iPhone or iPod.
There are plenty of instrumental tracks available on Youtube and iTunes. There will be a keyboard available, but no accompanist.
DANCE AUDITION
There will be one additional dance audition timeslot. This should be requested for trained dancers who feel they are stronger
in dance than in acting/singing.
A short movement piece will be taught in each other audition slot and will be performed as a group at the end of each audition slot.
VIDEO AUDITION OPTION
If you are unable to be physically present for any of the audition dates, we will accept an audition submitted through video.
To submit a video audition, select "video audition" in the timeslot drop down menu.
Audition forms will then be sent to you for you to complete.
The video and forms are to be submitted no later than Wednesday, November 27, 2024 @6pm.
On video you should introduce yourself, sing a song and demonstrate movement if possible.
CALLBACKS
Callbacks are by invitation. They will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 6-10pm.
Materials will be sent to those auditioners who are called back. If you do not receive a callback, it does
not mean you are not cast; callbacks are often for specific roles, pairings, etc.
