Actors are required to bring a non-returnable photo. Please arrive fifteen minutes early to fill out an Audition Form

Please be prepared to stay approximately one hour.

Auditioners are required to prepare a segment of a song from Matilda, as well as one minute from another song of their choice.

  • Matilda music excerpts will be provided upon submission of the audition form.
  • Choose a Matilda music excerpt that best matches the role you are interested in and/or your vocal range
  • Tracks for Matilda songs will be available at the audition but auditioners must provide a track for their second song.
We will have the ability to play recorded accompaniment through a CD player, MP3 player, iPhone or iPod. There are plenty of instrumental tracks available on YouTube and iTunes.

Auditioners may be asked to do a cold reading of part of the script – the purpose of this is for the directorial team to get an idea of the auditioner’s acting and accent abilities, which are necessary for this show.

Auditioners may also be asked if they can speak in an English accent. Nothing specific to a region just a general accent. This will not be mandatory; it will be used to inform casting decisions.
