Meet the leading ladies of "9 to 5 The Musical"
Meet Olivia Mann
(Doralee Rhodes)

"9 to 5 The Musical" is Olivia's third show with RCMPI. Her most recent credits include: Wizard of Oz (Munchkin) and Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood).  "As someone who is 5'1, I love playing strong, small but mighty characters" says Olivia. If you have seen any of her performances, you know she does it well.  When asked about new members joining RCMPI and any advice she can give, she says with a smile "Don't be afraid to talk to anyone! We are a family, and you will be quickly taken under wing. Sometimes we get caught up in hugging our old friends, but feel free to join!" When not onstage, Olivia is a Speech Pathologist in Kitchener helping people "find their voice" following a neurological event.
Meet Alee Wiens
(Judy Bernly)

"9 to 5 The Musical" is Alee's first show with RCMPI but she is no stranger to music and theatre. Her parents say she was singing before she could talk! I asked Alee what she loves about musical theatre: "I love that Musical Theatre tells a story, and that music gets to people in ways that speaking can't. It holds emotion and that is why it is so powerful". As this is Alee's first show with RCMPI, I was curious about her experience joining the family: "If you have any fear of fitting in, get rid of it right now." She says. "This company is filled with some of the most welcoming people I have ever met!" Alee is excited to get on stage in "9 to 5". A musical with not only comedy and drama but a great cast and amazing music. "I am looking forward to getting on that stage and putting on a killer show!"  We are glad to have you in the family Alee! Break a leg!
Meet Julie Van Duzen-Nantes
(Violet Newstead)

"9 to 5 The Musical" is Julie’s 20th show with RCMPI. Usually you will find her backstage, Stage Managing, Light or Costume Designing.  She is super excited to be joining the cast on stage this time around. Julie has been a member of RCMPI since 2001. Every show she has been involved with holds a special place in her heart, but her favourite show has to be White Christmas. Having grown up watching the movie it was such a special experience to get to work on a live production of this show. RCMPI has become Julie’s extended family. She has met some of the people who are most dearest to her though this incredible group. It is truly exciting to share this passion with her husband and son who have both been involved with RCMPI shows themselves.  Thank you RCMPI for all of the wonderful memories.

Dear RCMPI Members;

As we begin our 2017 Season I would like to inform you of the date of our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. This year it is being held on Wednesday April 12, 2017, at 95 Crimea St. Doors open at 6:45pm and meeting will begin at 7pm.

For those of you who are new to the company, and to those who have never attended an AGM, this meeting is a chance for members to see where the company stands from a financial perspective. It is also to find out what  the committees accomplished, and what is being planned for the upcoming year, or connect with committee chairs and get involved yourself.

For those interested in seeing what happens behind the stage and the workings of RCMPI at a Board level, please feel free to contact me (Gary) to discuss your interest, past experience, and the time commitment involved as a Board member.

The success of any company depends on its member involvement from many different levels, and AGM Meetings are a great way to get that insight.

So come out and put your talent to use in other ways to help sustain the longevity of this great company! Speaking of longevity, we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary next season!! You guessed it... there is a committee for that!

I look forward to seeing you all there on Thursday, March 23th, 2017!

After the meeting, for those interested, we will be gathering at the Pennywhistle (2 Quebec St, Guelph)

Respectfully,

Gary Roche

Vice-President - Royal City Musical Productions Inc.

Chair of Nomination Committee
