2016
has been a wonderful year for Royal City Musical Productions! First of all,
I would like to thank the members of our company who continually show us
what incredible talent we have here in Guelph. Many of you have been a part
of both Into the Woods and The Wizard of Oz in 2016. The
talent that has been on the River Run Stage has been some of the best I’ve
seen. Secondly, I would like to thank our board of directors. I am so proud
of all of the work they have done to keep our company thriving this year.
Each member of our board sits on various committees and in addition to, have
been involved with both shows this year. Their commitment to this company is
bar none, and we’re lucky to have them on
board. I look forward to seeing what 2017 will bring RCMPI. Finally, on
behalf of the Board of Directors for RCMPI, I would like to wish you and
your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

CONGRATULATIONS! To the amazing cast and crew of The Wizard of
Oz! What a successful run! Our audiences absolutely loved
every minute from Dorothy (Breanne Tice) singing Over the
Rainbow, Toto (Tigger) trying to get out of the basket, to the
Munchkins snickering in the audience and dancing around the stage,
to our terrifying Wicked Witch (Jane Martin) melting, and for the
amazing and gigantic set pieces and more! Special mention to the
directorial team- Karen Allen, Susan Lawrenson and Meghan Barron for
their dream come true- as one of our largest productions, this truly
has raised the bar for our upcoming shows!

In our recent review of committees, we have established two new committees to
take the place of our Resource Development and Facilities Committee.
The new Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee will take over
the responsibilities related to fundraising, an integral part of any charitable
organisation, including RCMPI.
Our new committee is in need of people interested in these areas. Your
commitment would be to attend a monthly meeting of 2 hours maximum, look for and
develop innovative fundraising initiatives, and identify possible sponsorship
opportunities within your personal and professional contacts. If you think this
is something that might interest you and you can make the commitment, please

In addition, RCMPI has created an ad-hoc committee
tasked with planning activities to celebrate our upcoming 40th anniversary. The
Anniversary Committee will be tasked with developing special events and
initiatives in conjunction with RCMPI's standing committees for the 2018/2019

Well, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!! The Social Committee
is looking to add some more members to it's busy team!! The committee is
responsible for organizing our amazing outings as a company and trying to find
new opportunities to keep our membership involved! Whether you are on or off
stage this is a great committee to start in and see what happens behind the

3rd Annual Christmas Get Together! At the Penny!
We told you it was coming! The wait is over!! On Tuesday, December 20th, the
Social Committee is hosting it's 3RD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS GET TOGETHER for all
members at the Pennywhistle starting at 7pm! Join us for a fantastic time to
celebrate a fabulous and busy year!
